The SHOEI Z-7 has a design that focuses on the helmet being “lightweight and compact”. With that, it features an aerodynamic shell, making it lighter than the previous model. It is SHOEI’s lightest full-face helmet to date.

QSV-1 Sun Shield System

The SHOEI Z-7’s integrated QSV-1 inner sun shield gives its users immediate relief and protection from the sun’s glare.

It meets the ANSI Z80.3-2010 standards for non-prescription glasses and protects the users from harmful UV rays. With that, you can guarantee that the distortion-free sun shield blocks 99% of it.

Since the Z-7 helmet sports a slightly raised outer shell, it can properly accommodate the internal sun shield of the helmet. Plus, it helps keep its EPS liner intact. SHOEI makes use of quality-made EPS liners which is technically crushable foam.

CNS-3 Shield and Base Plate System

The CNS-3 base plate system securely seals the helmet, ensuring that it is 100% wind and waterproof. Its airtight window beading drains and prevents water from going through the helmet. With that, SHOEI Z-7 is efficient when used during rainy weather.

Also, the presence of 3D injection molding allows riders to enjoy a distortion-free view.

Compact and Lightweight Design Concept

For the Z series, SHOEI highlighted and focused on creating helmets with a compact design. To achieve this, they added Small and X-Small shell sizes to accommodate more users.

Aside from being compact, SHOEI also made sure that the helmet sports a lightweight design.

Comfort and Reduced Noise

Noise caused by wind pressure during high-speed riding affects a user’s concentration. To prevent this, the X-7 features an aerodynamic shape and airtight shield system.

These help decrease wind noise and is achieved by integrating removable earpads, for increased noise reduction.

Improved Ventilation System

The improved ventilation system of the Z-7 allows more air to flow through the helmet. It provides more ventilation for the user while also preventing sweating in the process.

On the helmet’s center and sides, air intakes are present for better ventilation performance. Four air outlets feature spoilers to release hot air effectively.

Certifications and Warranties

For safety, SHOEI Z-7 meets the Japanese Industrial Standards or JIS. Like all helmets from the company, it comes with a limited 5-year warranty for the users to take advantage of.
