PINLOCK EVO Lens

To solve shield fogging issues that’s common in low temperature weather conditions, SHOEI developed the PINLOCK EVO Lens. It’s a fog-free sheet that not only prevents fogging, but it’s also for safety and comfort when using the MODERNO.

CJ-2 Shield System

CJ-2 shield system is added to the J-FORCE IV MODERNO to prevent wind from entering the bottom portion. With that, unnecessary noise is eliminated to prevent fatigue even when riding. Also, the CJ-2 shield system allows for a clearer and natural vision.

AIM Outer Shell

Advanced Integrated Matrix or AIM is SHOEI’s proprietary material for its helmets. It consists of 3D formed organic fabric, resin and glass fiber. It results in a lighter, elastic, and durable shell.

AIM absorbs more impact, making it the best material for a helmet’s shell. In addition, it also creates channels for better airflow.

Defogger Ventilation System

The defogger ventilation system releases air from the lower part of the shield to prevent further fogging. The ventilation holes are well-placed for more effective air absorption.

These intakes allow air to enter the helmet’s interior to cool the pads and the head section. Hot and humid air is released to the top and side air outlets to keep the interior cool.

3D Full Support Inner Type IV

SHOEI made use of polyurethane foam and 3D Full Support Inner Type IV to improve the helmet’s hold and fit. Its sweat absorption is also quick and efficient for more comfortable riding.

The ear pads are removable and helps prevent noise caused by wind pressure. The resin plate on the ear space prevents echoing. Soft polyurethane is used for the top portion of the cheek pad to allow users to wear glasses.

Certifications and Warranties

The J-FORCE IV MODERNO helmet is JIS approved. It has a limited 5-year warranty to cover all manufacturing defects after the date of purchase.

Three designs are available for the SHOEI J-FORCE IV MODERNO. These are TC-1 (Red/Black) Matte Color, TC-5 (Black/White) Matt Color, and TC-10 (Grey/Black) Matt Color. For its shell sizes, these include S, M, L, and XL.
