Reduced Noise

SHOEI tested the HORNET ADV helmet in the wind tunnel to decrease buffeting around the head. Even with the peak of the helmet, whistling and grabbing are reduced in this model. It also has ear pads that eliminate unnecessary sounds. In this area, cutouts for installing speakers are also present.

Improved Helmet Ventilation

Three sets of vents are present in the SHOEI HORNET ADV, and these include the brow, chin, and helmet’s top. All of these can be closed or opened, and they have rear-mounted exhaust vents that release hot air. The chin and brow vents are small but excellently take air into the helmet.

AIM+ and Aerodynamics

AIM+ or Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus is a high-performance organic material composed of multiple layers of fiber. It allows the shell of the SHOEI HORNET ADV to be strong, durable, elastic, and lightweight.

Through wind tunnel experiments and riding tests, SHOEI formed an aerodynamic shape for the HORNET ADV helmet. Aside from that, the company also included a V-460 visor for further improvement on HORNET ADV’s aerodynamic performance. As a result, the helmet remains stable even when riding in high-speed and rider’s fatigue is reduced.

Since this is a dual-sport full-face helmet with a lot of parts, SHOEI made sure that it maintains balance. With that, the HORNET ADV has excellent aerodynamics to provide the highest balance and comfort while riding.

3D Max Dry Liner Interior

The SHOEI HORNET ADV has the 3D Max Dry Liner, a removable and washable interior fabric liner. Its material is antimicrobial and promotes moisture dissipation to keep the helmet’s interior dry at all times. Also, it provides a comfortable and secure fit.

Certifications and Warranties

The SHOEI HORNET ADV helmet is JIS approved for Japanese standards. It comes with a five-year warranty that covers all manufacturing defects.
