The VZ-RAM WEDGE is the successor of the popular SZ helmet from 30 years ago. This open-face helmet adopts the technology of ARAI’s flagship model, the RX-7X, together with other new, impressive features.

Multi-Stage Foam Buffer Liner

ARAI’s Multi-Density Liner or MDL maximizes the VZ-RAM WEDGE’s impact absorption abilities on all portions of the shell. It provides a single molded liner with varying hardness on the temporal region, occipital region, and the forehead. With that, the MDL will give the ideal cushioning effect for each part of the head in case an accident happens.

Large Switch for Reliable operation and Air Intake Volume Adjustment

ARAI redesigned the air intake opening for the VZ-RAM WEDGE helmet and increased the air intake volume by 11%. With larger switches, it’s easier to adjust the air intake even while wearing gloves.

For the air intake, riders can choose from half-open and fully opened, depending on the driving condition. When fully closed, the helmet enhances its soundproofing and rainproof features.

Design, Build, and Parts of the VZ-RAM WEDGE

PB-cLc

The PB-cLc or Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction consists of ARAI’s super fiber belt, which was initially for F-1 helmets. This strip of EPS liner extends across the forehead above the eye-port to enhance the rider’s field of view.

The Complex Laminated Construction is made up of a mechanically expanded fiber mat between two layers of Super Fiber Laminates. It strengthens the bond between the fiber layers to increase the shell’s durability and flexibility; as well as decrease weight.

VAS-Z Shield System

VAS-Z is a newly developed shield system that features dual rail tracks. These allow the opening and closing of the shield while lowering the shield system.

Eco Pure Interior System

Eco Pure is used for the interior of the ARAI VZ-RAM WEDGE. It provides comfort while wearing the helmet by maintaining low acidity. It neutralizes ammonia, preventing odor and the growth of bacteria in its layers. To add to the comfort of the rider, it absorbs sweat and keeps the interior dry.

The ARAI VZ-RAM WEDGE helmet is JIS and SNELL approved, which is proof of its quality, safety, and reliability. Like all ARAI helmets, it has a 5-year warranty that covers all manufacturing defects.

ARAI VZ-RAM WEDGE – Available Colors and Sizes

The available colors for the ARAI VZ-RAM WEDGE include White, Red, and Dark Gray. The sizes included are S (55-56cm), M (57-58), L (59-60), and XL (61-62cm).
