ARAI VZ-RAM PLUS Grass White

The hit model of helmets is under the SZ series which debuted around 30 years ago. And with the appearance of its successor, ARAI VZ-RAM PLUS, it utilized the same technology as the RX-7X flagship model.

With that, ARAI was able to produce a helmet that evolved remarkably.

ARAI VZ-RAM PLUS Features

Pin Lock Sheet and Pro Shade System

The VZ-RAM PLUS allows users to install the PINLOCK sheet (optional), and Pro Shade System to the model.

When the PINLOCK sheet is attached, clouding and fogging is prevented despite riding during cold and rainy days. Fogging up the sheet is difficult, so riders can always have a clear field of vision.

The process of shield detachment and attachment is easy since tools aren’t required to complete the task.

Diffuser Type 12

The Diffuser Type 12, that’s present on the RX-7X is fixed on the VZ-RAM PLUS’ open face. It comes with the evolved spoiler function combined with the aero fin to better decrease turbulence at a heightened speed.

Also, these diffusers are 20mm longer and can take 19% more air compared to the previous version. The air intake vents feature three different positions designed for better sealing. It decreases water intrusion and road noise while riding.

Eco-Pure Feature

The ARAI VZ-RAM PLUS comes with an Eco-Pure interior. It’s a type of coating that provides optimized ventilation compared to the earlier versions. The Eco-Pure also functions by preventing moisture from building up in the layers of foam when wearing the helmet.

For the helmet’s ear cups, slits are present to make it easier and more convenient for riders who wear eyeglasses. There won’t be any instances of deformation to the glasses. Plus, there won’t be any feeling of discomfort when using it together with the VZ-RAM PLUS.

Also, the ARAI VZ-RAM PLUS is intercom-speaker compatible since there’s already a pre-made space for such. This design makes it easier for riders to install the intercom.

PB-CLC Outer Shell

This outer shell incorporated into the VZ-RAM PLUS is a Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction shell from ARAI. Its primary function is to provide more protection to the helmet without adding more weight to it.

Not only that, but the company’s Peripheral Belt supports the upper section of the helmet’s eye-port. Generally, it’s a woven belt consisting of super fibers to keep the helmet strong without making it heavy.

Certifications and Warranties

The ARAI VZ-RAM PLUS is covered by ARAI’s 5-year warranty. Plus, the helmet is both JIS and SNELL certified.

VZ-RAM PLUS Helmet Colors and Sizes

This helmet comes in three different shades; namely Grass Black, Grass White, and Flat Black.

For the sizes, available ones to choose from include S (55-56cm), M (57-58cm), L (59-60cm), and XL (61-62cm).
