Generally, there’s a certain amount of energy that helmets can absorb. Yet in reality, large amounts of energy can be avoided and dodged.

With that in mind, ARAI aimed to produce a smooth and seamless form that can easily dodge strong caps and impacts. They were able to achieve this by lowering and decreasing the shield mounting section by 24mm. ARAI made use of the SNELL standard testing as a guide to create VECTOR-X with a tougher yet smoother form.

FFS (Free Flow System)

ARAI made use of the FFS for their ARAI VECTOR-X which helps lessen turbulence and wind noise. It works simultaneously by boosting the exhaust of hot air. The helmet also features aero parts that decreases wind complications from the helmet’s base, exhibiting a boosted rectification effect.

FFS works by lessening any unpleasant wind from entering the helmet via its mouth area. Its primary function forcibly exhausts exhaled moist air from the mouth, leading it to the airflow beneath the VECTOR-X. It helps prevent shield fogging and suffocation.

Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction or PB-cLc

To make for a better build and design, ARAI took the idea from their F1 technology to create the Peripheral Belt or Super Fiber Belt. It’s the company’s proprietary feature that boosts the shell strength while keeping its lightweight form.

There’s also the presence of a thin EPS liner that better improves the field of view of the rider.

Hyper Rib

There’s a hyper rib on the VECTOR-X that smoothens the flow of wind in the helmet while increasing its rigidity. It extends right to the bottom of the helmet’s cap and works as a shock absorber like a car bumper.

The hyper rib is an essential feature since it enhances pressure resistance from the sides, making the cap tougher.
